Westerbork - Orvelte | 10 km
Westerbork - Orvelte | 10 km
This route has been compiled by Abdij de Westerburcht on the basis of the walking junction map of Midden-Drenthe.
You start with the junction network that helps you on your way and guides you past the shops of Westerbork. In the Reijntjesbos you start with the 'red signs' route that goes through a lot of green nature. You will also end up in the Museum Village Orvelte where you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. This village really takes you back in time! Then the road continues on the basis of the red signs that eventually turn into a network of walking junctions. A wonderful quiet route of about 10 km. Below you can read the details of the walking route.
How do I get to the red poles route?
1. Leave the parking lot of Abdij de Westerburcht and turn right.
2. Turn left at restaurant Meursinge and follow junction 57.
3. Then at junction 57 you turn right to junction 85.
4. Continue to junction 70 and turn right. From this point you will follow the route of the red signs.

6. After 50 meters, turn left off the paved road.
7. Follow the arrow to the right (not the narrow path) then follow junction 85 until you come back to a paved road. Then immediately turn right onto the Schonegelegenheidsweg.
