Hijken: Forest ranger scavenger hunt

A fun active treasure hunt for children from 6-12 years old. Children look at nature through the eyes of forest ranger Bo and learn in a playful way about the plants and animals that live here.

The route is easy to walk all year round, but please wear sturdy shoes; Bo the forester also carries them.

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed because there are sheep and cattle in this area.

The treasure hunt starts at the sheepfold on Hijkerveld near Hooghalen. The route to the sheepfold is signposted from the village of Hijken.
