High Beer | The newest trend and the savoury variant of the High Tea. Have a luxurious drink in style nearby a fire place on the heated terrace, in the lounge or in our atmospheric restaurant in Westerbork. Abdij de Westerburcht has a central location in Drenthe on a short distance of Assen, Hoogeveen and Emmen. It is an ideal place to go cycling or walking since you are surrounded by beautiful nature. A High Beer at Abdij de Westerburcht means that you can choose from an extensive range of Trappist beers or go for something entirely different. There is a beer for everyone at Abdij de Westerburcht.
HIGH BEER
The High Beer consists of a preuvenement of 3 beers. You can of course choose from our full range of La Trappe & Brand. We have 2 La Trappe draft beers as well as a seasonal beer. You also have the opportunity to taste other specialty beer brands. Or would you rather just have a normal draft beer? The High Beer comes with a delicious and well-stocked snack board! The snacks include a deep-fried snack mix, marinated olives, cheese, sausage and sandwiches with spreads.
Are you vegetarian? That is of course not a problem. We are happy to take this into account! Do you still have to drive, or do you not drink alcohol for some other reason? Then you can of course opt for an alcohol-free beer or another drink.

- Would you like to combine a High Beer with a High Wine? No problem! Please mention this in the comments section in the form below.
- Are you a vegetarian? That is no problem at all. Mention this when you make a reservation and we keep it into account.
- Also possible to reserve it non-alcoholic
- You can make use of the High Beer and High Wine between 12.00 - 23.00 pm.
Besides the High Beer with Trappist beer, there is also the Deluxe version. What is different? Not only can you choose from the list of Trappist beers, you also have the possibility to choose from the menu of special beers.
