Our goal is to give you the best experience possible. Do you have special wishes? We are happy to think along with you! Are you coming with your dog? They are allowed inside! You can take your dog everywhere, except in the conservatory.
La Trappe beer
La Trappe is the Trappist beer brewed at Koningshoeven Abbey in Berkel-Enschot. The appearance of Abdij de Westerburcht is based on this Abbey. And of course, you can also order all beers from the La Trappe range from us, some of which are on tap!
Something to celebrate?
Do you have something to celebrate? Then you are most welcome with us! Start with a cup of coffee with fresh pastry and finish with drinks and snacks. Prefer to eat together? We have a very nice, cosy room 'the tasting room' which can accommodate 16 people. This room is equipped with a music system, air conditioning and atmospheric LED lighting that can be set in any colour.
High Tea, High Wine, High Beer & High Cocktail
Enjoy a High Tea, High Wine, High Beer & High Cocktail. You can at Abdij de Westerburcht! We offer two types of the High tea; the Afternoon High Tea and the Family High Tea.
Those who come to enjoy a High Wine will get a pre-tasting of 3 glasses of wine with delicious matching snacks. If you're coming for the High Beer you will get a pre-tasting of 3 beers. Have a beer from La Trappe or Brand.
The High Cocktail is for anyone in the mood for something other than a beer or a wine. Take a look at our entire cocktail menu to choose your favourite!
Do you have to drive, or do you not drink alcohol for some other reason? Then you can of course choose the non-alcoholic variant.
Enjoy our lounge with fireplace
Whether you choose a wine, cappuccino, or hot chocolate with whipped cream, our hotel lounge is the place to be. After a brisk walk, unwind with a good chat or a good magazine. Or enjoy the afterglow of a sauna visit at Vitalia. Is it getting chilly? Then you can warm yourself up by the fireplace.
Dining on the heated terrace
When the sun shines, it is of course great to have a bite to eat on the terrace. On our terrace, you will find a large number of seating areas where you can relax. You can sit at a table or in one of our lounge chairs. When it gets chilly, you can choose to sit by a fireplace, under the heater, or even on a heated seat pillow. For lovers, we have nice soft fleece blankets that will make sure you will definitely not get cold!
In 2017, 2018, and 2022, we were voted the best terrace in Drenthe by the Misset Horeca Terrace Top 100!

At Abdij de Westerburcht, we love beer, that is well known. You can order all variants of La Trappe from us, both in the bottle and some on tap. You will also often find these beers in the preparation of our dishes. Besides La Trappe, we also have a menu of special beers, which has been carefully compiled after a search from brewery to brewery.
