On this device you can find the app 'Route.nl'. This allows you to make beautiful cycling routes yourself by using nodes. There are also routes that already exist in the app. You can cycle the ANWB signposted route Drentse Bos or the Orvelte route. You can also use this route for hiking.

It is possible to rent a bike at Abdij de Westerburcht. A normal bicycle costs € 8.50 per day and an eletric bicycle costs € 23.50 per day. It is also possible to take a bicycle bag. This doesn't costs anything.

You can buy a rode map of Drenthe at the reception. The costs of this cycling map are € 6.00 and it contains 7 beautiful cycling routes.

It is also possible to go hiking in this part of Drenthe. There are 3 national nature parks: Dwingelderveld, Drents-Friese Wold and Drentsche Aa. Each of these parks has its own characteristics.
